When You Feel Disconnected From Wholeness.

Even in the midst of separation, something in you still knows love.

When you are experiencing separation, isolation, or self-attack, you cannot necessarily just change the experience of it. That is okay.

But you can notice that in this moment, you have separated from what real humanness is.

You can notice that you are experiencing life through a fragmented part of yourself—one that feels cut off from the meaning and flow of life.

Then, remind yourself:

“I know kindness. I know love.”

Even if you do not feel them right now, you know them as qualities.

Even if you rarely see them in others, you still know them.

By turning your awareness toward that knowing, instead of sinking deeper into separateness, you can simply appreciate that love and kindness exist.

You can like that you know this truth—even if it is only as a possibility, a quality, or a field you do not need to feel in this moment.

You are not trying to change anything.

You are simply shifting from within.

You are stepping out of the contraction of the fragmented you, and remembering that kindness and love exist.

This kindness and love do not belong to anyone or anything.

They are kindness and love itself.

When you are in the midst of something that feels like anything but kind and loving, you can pause and say:

“But I know love. I know kindness as a quality. I know it as a field, or a possibility…”

When you stay with the liking of that truth, you are no longer identified with the fragment in its extreme separation.

You are relating to a truth that does not need to have anything to do with you personally.

This frees you from being caught in your pain, and links you directly to the field of loving-kindness.

In doing so, you are actually being love and kindness—whether you can feel it or not.
